OZ server successful at all six interoperability events held to date

Montreal, Canada - November 25, 2003 - OZ Communications, the leading enabler of standardized mobile Instant Messaging and Presence Services, announced today that its IMPS server has again been tested successfully to the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) IMPS Version 1.1 enabler (formerly Wireless Village). This is based on test results from the sixth interoperability event recently held in Bellevue, WA and the fourth such event to be conducted by the OMA.

OZ is the only vendor to successfully test an IMPS server at all six interoperability events held to date, further demonstrating the company's technical leadership and ensuring maximum interoperability with other vendors' device and client products. OZ has also confirmed interoperability for its J2ME, BREW, Symbian, and WAP mobile clients, as well as Win32 and HTML PC clients, equating to the broadest portfolio of IMPS products successfully tested at official test events. This IMPS portfolio allows OZ to rapidly deploy standardized and interoperable IMPS solutions across a mobile operators entire subscriber base with the least amount of risk.

"We continue to demonstrate our technical leadership in IMPS solutions based on OMA IMPS enablers," said Skuli Mogensen, CEO of OZ. "Standardized mobile Instant Messaging and Presence Services have started to launch commercially and OZ is uniquely positioned and actively participating in helping operators to deploy end-to-end IMPS services within their networks."

Products and solutions based on the OMA IMPS specifications and enablers will create interoperable end-user services for mobile instant messaging, presence, group communications, and content sharing. OMA includes more than 200 companies representing the whole mobile services value chain, such as the world's leading mobile operators, device & network suppliers, information technology companies and content providers. OMA is stimulating and contributing to the creation of interoperable services across countries, operators and mobile terminals that will meet the needs of both the consumers and business users.
