OZ APPOINTS TWO MOBILE INDUSTRY VETERANS TO ITS BOARD

Former Chief Technology Officers of Cingular and Vodafone UK join OZ

Montreal, Canada - September 22, 2004 - OZ, the leading enabler of standards-based mobile Instant Messaging and Presence Services, announced today the appointment of Bill Clift and Chris Burke to the Company’s Board of Directors.

W.E. (Bill) Clift has a proven track record and extensive experience in the wireless industry. Most recently he served as CTO for Cingular where he directed strategic network planning initiatives, oversaw Cingular’s involvement in standards bodies, and coordinated the technical development of new products and services. Prior to Cingular, Mr. Clift held several engineering and senior management positions during a distinguished career at Bell South Mobility.

Chris Burke brings a wealth of international wireless telecommunications and IT expertise to OZ. As CTO of Vodafone UK Ltd., he was responsible for all Vodafone technology across its entire lifecycle in the UK and other Vodafone regional and global initiatives. Prior to Vodafone UK Ltd., Mr. Burke was the Director of both Operations and Advanced Services Development in R&D, as well as VP Sales at Nortel Networks. Mr. Burke also served as CTO of Energis Communications, where he played an integral role in helping take the company pubic.
