Cingular subscribers can now access their personal AOL, MSN Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail & SBC Yahoo! Mail on their phones

Montreal, Canada - October 24, 2005 - OZ, the leading mobile messaging developer announced today that Cingular Wireless, the largest mobile carrier in the US, has selected the OZ Mobile Email Solution to power its consumer focused Cingular Mobile Email service. As of today, across the Cingular nationwide network, Cingular subscribers can now easily access their existing AIM® Mail, AOL® Mail, MSN® Hotmail, Yahoo!® Mail and SBC Yahoo!® Mail email accounts on affordable, entry level mobile phones. This announcement represents a new trend in the wireless industry that moves beyond corporate email and into the broader, un-addressed mobile consumer email marketplace.

The Cingular Mobile Email solution features portal branded OZ Mobile Email clients that are available as embedded or downloadable applications. The OZ Mobile Email Client provides Cingular Wireless subscribers with an intuitive email experience that mirrors that of their PC, making mobile access to AIM® Mail, AOL® Mail, MSN® Hotmail, Yahoo!® Mail and SBC Yahoo!® Mail accounts as easy as A-B-C. For the first time, the ordinary consumer can stay connected via email in 3 easy steps:

1. Subscribers simply select the email provider of their choice,

2. Subscribers then sign-in using their existing username and password, and

3. Within seconds they are able to send and receive emails on their mobile devices.

The OZ Mobile Email Solution is the industry’s first consumer centric mobile email solution which is powering all 3 of the world’s most popular email services and extends the PC-based email experience to mass-market consumer mobile phones. Harnessing the power of the branded and established portal and ISP email communities, the consumer is now empowered to stay connected with friends and family with an email solution that is affordable, simple and intuitive.

Rather than pushing the entire content of every email to the phone, the OZ Mobile Email Solution uses SmartDelivery™ Notification, which alerts the consumer that a message is in their mailbox. The consumer can then preview the message(s) and decide which emails they would like to open and/or delete; thereby eliminating payment for unwanted emails.

“There are over 450 million active AIM Mail, AOL Mail, MSN Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail accounts around the world, and these consumers are rightfully demanding easy and affordable access to their existing email accounts. The time has come to provide everyone, not just people who have high-end mobile devices, with access to their emails while they are on the go,” said Skuli Mogensen, CEO and Founder of OZ. “We are thrilled to be working with Cingular, AOL, MSN and Yahoo! in bringing this coveted solution to Cingular’s subscribers; with this launch we are making a profound change in the way consumers access their existing email services.”

“Messaging will remain the bedrock of mobile data service revenues in the US and Europe,” said John Delaney, Principal Research Analyst at Ovum. “Mobile operators have an important opportunity to enhance their customers’ messaging experience, by providing easy mobile access to familiar internet messaging services.”
