OZ Sports is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘At Home Fans’ category of the 2020 Reimagine Football programme for its solution, OZ ARena.
The Football Innovation Platform set up the Reimagine Football programme in response to industry challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic. As football leagues kick-off once again, the programme calls for smart, creative and innovative solutions from start-ups, entrepreneurs and tech companies to overcome these challenges.
Two weeks ago OZ Sports submitted OZ ARena as a solution in the ‘At Home Fans’ category to help leading broadcasters provide fans with the ‘Second Best Experience’, from anywhere in the world. OZ ARena is targeted at bringing the five billion football fans across the globe closer to their favourite clubs and players.
This solution has been made possible through OZ Sports’ dedicated, world-class team, with proven execution capabilities. With the company’s unique set of skills in player and ball-tracking, and with nearly 30 influential investors, OZ Sports is able to stay ahead of the technology curve.
OZ Sports is one of 27 finalists after a total of 329 solutions across 38 countries were submitted. The OZ ARena solution was selected following three rounds of judging from a range of industry experts, including UEFA, Royal Netherlands Football Association, City Football Group, AFC Ajax, and the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
